Mont Morissette Regional Park

New observation tower with panoramic view, one of the most spectacular in Quebec.

A Heightening Experience!

The Mont Morissette regional Park is two mountains offering a breath taking view.

Come and experience the scenic beauty of the woodland landscape of the Gatineau Valley. Take your pick from one of three hiking trails, (1, 5, or 7 km) or follow the gravel road that goes straight to the top to the foot of the heritage fire tower, one of the few still standing in Quebec. Climb the steps of the new observation tower and enjoy a breathtaking view of majestic Blue Sea Lake and surrounding area.

Learn about the history of our heritage fire lookout towers (1930+) by reading the series of interpretive signs which tell the story of forest fire fighting and prevention. To learn more, be sure to visit the Chateau Logue Interpretation Centre in Maniwaki dedicated to the history of the prevention and fighting of forest fire. Accessible summer and winter with a cozy cabin complete with wood stove to welcome you at the top of the mountain.

ATV riders, snowmobilers and horseback riders are welcome to use the service road to access the shelter and belvedere.
